Web Diary

31 May 2023

My attention has been focusing on a project which is non accounting, at the expense of this website, leading to the fact that I have not been updating my website diary for over a month.
The financial year 2023 is drawing to an end and, in about a month we will see the closing of the financial year, with the commencement of FY 2024, when every accountant will be busy.
I have been training someone with another accounting practice of which I am involved, to prepare ourselves for the anticipated additional workload following the close of FY 2023.
I believe I shall be spending more time on this website, and I shall record progress as I go along.

I had been assisting accounting and migration clients for over 20 years, and to further extend my desire in helping qualified NDIS clients, I have been mobilizing my resources to apply for NDIS Registration. It takes a bit of time to go through the application process, but I shall update my progress here as we go along.

Meanwhile, I am organizing a free 2-hour internet event from 8 pm to 10 pm, Melbourne time, on 02 May 2023, when I shall discuss BAS Returns Preparation and Supervised Training for TPB Registration. We shall be using Microsoft Teams and my colleague will be online one hour before the session to help participants check their connection.

Interested attendees please send us a simple email to: accounting@pmicinter.com. My colleague will provide you with further details.

Despite concerns expressed by many, including Elon Musk, about the development of Artificial Intelligence getting out of hand, the Age of Artificial Intelligence has arrived, and it is going to stay!

The earlier an entrepreneur accepts the fact and to prepare for its challenges, the better.

To me, the accounting profession is going to be impacted, as with all businesses in the world. I foresee the Work From Home practice to becoming a more regular feature in the corporate culture globally.

I am suggesting to Australian businesses to consider using our accounting services as a possible step to prepare themselves in meeting the challenges of Artificial Intelligence.

I was meaning to write to prospective employers during the weekend to start canvassing for work for our Project. Unfortunately, we still need some finishing touches to fix up our designated email address, which requires the technical expertise of our IT Specialist, therefore we will be commencing our promotion exercise later today.

Apart from writing direct, we shall also be posting our services via TikTok videos to reach out to our potential clients. We have already done the text for the videos, and we are asking our colleagues to produce the TikTok footages. We shall be posting them out onto the internet progressively. We do hope some of our viewers will in fact be drawn to our website through our TikToks.

Rome was not built in one day. I am are not expecting miracles happening to our Project. I have mental preparation to put in sweat and tears into what we are doing as I am firmly believe that I have something to offer to Australian employers who are going to face a lot of challenges as we brave the Age of Artificial Intelligence.

I think the accounting functions of all Australian businesses are going to be impacted and the earlier we prepare ourselves, the better.

Being a Chinese and being an old man in my 70s, it is in my blood that I have a culture leaning to superstition. I have been working on the construction of this website for quite some time and I consulted the Chinese Almanac to check on an auspicious date for launching this website in my efforts to provide bookkeeping, accounting, and taxation services to Australian bookkeepers & accountants in aiding their workload for Australian businesses.

My searches confirm that 31 Mar 2023 is an auspicious day for the purpose. Therefore, I am launching our website today.

Needless to say, the journey to establish ourselves will be full of challenges and there will certainly be ups and down in our attempts to achieve our goals. It is my intention to use this small corner of our website to record, from time to time, what actually transpired in this journey, as a permanent account of the development of our site.
